The Cincinnati Bearcats put a good old fashion beatdown on NC State tonight, winning 44-14. The Bearcats put up over 500 yards of offense, 242 on the ground. Zach Collaros was incredibly sharp, 25-34, 263, 2 TDs, 1 INT. Collaros ran for a pair of scores as well. The star of the show was Isaiah Pead. Pead put up 167 yards on 27 carries with a TD. Pead had a 25 yard screen pass that went for a TD as well. Anthony McClung had one of the best games of his career with 94 yards. Kenbrell Thompkins had 74 yards and a TD. The Bearcats defense gave up 322 yards, but NC State had -22 on the ground. The Bearcats had at least 10 TFL and a handful of sacks. Wolfe, Giordano, Stepp, and Brandon Mills had 2 sacks.
It was a great showcase on national TV for the Bearcats. I don't really know how good this team can be, but at Nippert, they have been incredibly hard to score on this year. The offense has been sharp in every game. The short yardage problems against Tennessee were not evident tonight, as the Bearcats did whatever they wanted. It was nice to watch UC on national TV and be relaxed for a change. 3-1 is pretty sweet.
